Mechanical Art Logo
Create a circle using elliptical shape tool.
Press shift and create a vertical rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Press Ctrl+U and Shift+Ctrl+T several times to create the design as shown.
Merge all layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.
Right click the layer and select create layers. This will split the gear and its stroke in two different layers.
Ctrl Click the gear layer to get its selection. Hide the gear layer. Select the stroke layer and press delete to remove the inner area.
Unhide the gear layer and fill with an orange color.
Create a rectangular selection using rectangular marquee tool. Press Shift+Ctrl+i to invert selection. Press delete.
Duplicate the layer. Ctrl+T and select rotate 180°.
Move the layer and place as shown below.
Fill with a different color.
Move both layers outwards a few pixels.
Type company name in a new layer.
Press text warp button at top bar.
Pick warp style and adjust settings as shown.
Rotate the text clockwise.
Apply a nice stroke to the text from layer style window.
Fill the background with a color of your choice.

Drawing a Chinese Doll
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Select a rounded rectangle shape tool and set the settings at the top bar as shown.
Create a rounded rectangle using these settings.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Create a rounded rectangle using these settings.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select perspective. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select perspective. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Create a rounded rectangle for shoe.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select distort. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Duplicate the shoe layer. Flip horizontally and place on the other side.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select perspective. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Adjust the nodes as shown.
Place the layer in place of arm.
Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+T. Right click and select Flip Horizontally and place on the other side.
Create some divider streaks in hair using pen tool.
Create eyes and lips using pen tool.
Draw an opening in the dress and collars using pen tool. Fill with white color.
Using line tools create 3 small lines as shown in the image.
Create a rounded rectangular shape using pen tool at the bottom of the dolls top.
Add some details to the shoes using the pen tool.
Select the black part of the top, Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Place it for hand.
Move this layer below the dolls dress layer and hide almost behind the arm of the dress. Duplicate the layer. Place on the other side.
Add a couple of flowers for hair and dress using custom shape tool.

Fashion Magazine Style Photo Effect

Start by opening an image of a model.
Duplicate the layer and press Ctrl+Shift+U to desaturate.
Change the color mode to screen.
Duplicate the layer.
Press Ctrl+U to open hue/saturation window. Apply settings as shown.
