Drawing a Cool Cartoon Robot
Start by creating a ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Press Ctrl+T and rotate it.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Enable subtract form shape area form the top bar.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Create another ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Create a couple of circles for the eye using elliptical shape tool.
Duplicate the eye layers and place it for the other eye.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Enable subtract form shape area form the top bar. Create another ellipse and place as shown.
Place the shape as shown in the image below.
Duplicate the layer and place as shown.
Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. Place it for the antenna.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Create a rectangle for the neck of the robot using rectangular shape tool. Create an ellipse for the neck joint using elliptical shape tool.
Create another ellipse below the neck joint ellipse. Enable add to shape area from the top bar and create a rectangle for the neck using rectangular shape tool.
Enable subtract form shape area form the top bar. Create a shape using pen tool as shown.
Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Create another rounded rectangle and distort it as it creates the 3D depth of the body.
Create some rectangles. Distort and place as shown.
Create a rectangle for the arm and rotate it. Place as shown. Duplicate the layer. Select the lower one. Move it a few pixel upwards.
Create a circle for the hand joint. using elliptical shape tool. Duplicate the arm layers and rotate and place as shown.
Using pen tool create a horse shoe shape and place for the hand of the robot.
Duplicate the whole arm layers. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select flip horizontal Place it for the other side.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Move the layer below all the layers.
Duplicate the layer several times and place below each other. This will create spring to connect the body and legs.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select distort. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Create two more rectangles to create 3d box. Distort and place as shown.
Select the spring layers and duplicate them. Move the layers below the box layer. Duplicate the box layers, scale down and place as shown.
Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Create more rectangles to create a box shape as we did in previous steps.
Duplicate and place for the other feet.
Apply a nice gradient to the background.

Conceptual Graphic for New Venture
Create a new file. Insert a hand cutout.
Duplicate layer. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select flip horizontal.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Select the ellipse path using direct selection tool. Select convert point tool. Click on the top node of the ellipse.
Move a few pixels upwards.
Select brush tool to create roots of the plant using a light brown color in a new layer.
Change the layer mode to color burn.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create a leaf shape using custom shape tool.
Create a few more leaves and place as shown in the image below.
Create more leaves with different shades of green.

Attractive Background Effect

Start by creating tile 3 shape using custom shape tool.

Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+T. Scale it down and rotate 45°.
Similarly create another duplicate. Scale, rotate and fill it with black color.
Select all the shape layers and press Ctrl+E to merge. Duplicate the layer and hide it. From filter menu select artistic>>plastic wrap. Apply settings as shown.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Scale up and rotate.
Duplicate the layer and hide it. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Unhide the layer and change the layer mode to pin light.
Merge both the layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Move the layer as shown in the image below.
Change the layer mode to hard light.
Duplicate the layer 3 times and place as shown in the image.
Select the background layer. Press D to set foreground/background color to default B&W. From filter menu select render>>difference clouds.
Press Ctrl+F several times to make the effect stronger.
Press Ctrl+U to open hue/saturation window. Apply settings as shown.
Duplicate the layer and change the layer mode to screen.
Hide the shape layers on the top and unhide the layer we hide after merging the shapes.
From filter menu select blur>>radial blur. Apply settings as shown.
Press Ctrl+F twice to apply the effect again.
Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select flip horizontal. Change the layer mode to linear light.
Unhide the top layers.
