Creating a Body Silhouette

Start by opening an image of a lady.

Create a path surrounding the body shape using pen tool in path mode.

Create a new layer. From layer menu select vector mask>>current path. Fill the layer with black color.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Similarly create a pat surrounding her dress.

Repeat the above mentioned steps to create a silhouette of her dress.

Create a path for the arm.

Repeat the steps again for the arm layer.

From layer menu select layer style>>create layers.

Select and merge both the resulting layers. Using eraser tool erase the dividing line.

Create path for the eye and convert to vector mask in a new layer.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Repeat the steps for hair and other facial details.
